My (awesome) coworker Karen and I went on some garden visits the other day.  We got around to nearly a dozen of our fifty community gardens, and I was pretty impressed by what I saw so far.  There were a couple disappointments to be sure, but for the most part it's been a job well done.  Fingers crossed the next batch makes me half as happy.

Another success!

The quiet before the storm.

Our adventures have been small and more of the enjoying some time at home, Mama getting out on her own with her friends time, and errand related.  I also haven't been dragging my camera around much (it's too hot to add anymore to my normally heavy load).  We do have a Tiger's game and the annual Costanzicacelli Luau coming up this week, and in a little over a week and a half we'll have Big back where he belongs (He loves his dad, and I'm glad he does get to spend time with him but there's a hole inside of me when he's gone).  After that we have kid concerts, outdoor movies, camping, LEGO party, school shopping, Brew at the Zoo, etc. to look forward to!  Things should return to "normal" soon.

Cramming It In

We tried to cram some summer fun in before Tarquin left for his father's at the end of June.  We ended up squeezing in one more trip to the zoo (with the Suttons) and headed over to Bay-O-Rama (actually my first time there) for the carnival.  Harrison wasn't too thrilled with staying up late, but Tarquin got to catch the fireworks with the Binghams, Aunt Noreen, Samantha, Namo & Papa.  Can't wait until the whole family is back together for more fun!
